My dear daughter's birthday was two weeks ago. Our family celebrated her special day but I wanted to mail her card. Let's face it we all like to receive mail....especially Birthday cards. Well I mailed the card at just the right time for it to arrive on my daughter's special day. Or at least that was what I thought. Remember I said her special day was two weeks ago.......the card still hasn't arrived. Usually it takes no more than two days to reach her home.
What makes this even more unusual is that she also hasn't received cards from her Grandmother, Aunt, and Great Aunt. Yes we did have the correct address. Where are they? Lost in Birthday card never never land? We all just keep waiting and wondering. It's a mystery.
I guess some times things just take longer than we anticipated. Where Are They? Who knows? I have read stories of people receiving mail 50 years later. If that is true then my daughter will get a wonderful surprise on her 75th birthday!

Sorry her cards did not show up. I can sympathize - I had mail sent to me and some that I have sent out to disappear and never to be found again.

ReplyDeleteI would suggest you tell the post office. I know a mail deliverer who was arrested for stealing peoples mail (specifically taking envelopes that looked like birthday cards and might contain checks or money)
