At this very moment many of your husbands and sons are sitting in front of the television. I can even tell you what they are watching. The BCS Championship football game is on tonight. The teams of Alabama and LSU are sure to put on a show for all of the football lovers out there.
Very few people suspect that I am a true football fan. College football is my favorite but I also enjoy pro football as well. I am definitely not the typical fan. How many football fans do you know named Mrs. DD? I am the one who knows the answers to trivia questions about football and I actually send my husband the scores if he happens to be working during a game. His friends are a little jealous.
Don't worry! During the game I will be sewing and knitting. I even have a quilt to work on too! Nothing better than football and crafts! :-)
Who am I pulling for? It doesn't really matter to me. I just enjoy watching the game! Oh, and of course finishing a few projects in the mean time.

And yet here, my husband and I and no one in my immediate family regularly watches or follows any sports. We never have. Not even my Dad is a big fan. My husband and I have been known to be out antiquing when the Super Bowl is on. ;) We only go to High School football games to support the Marching Band which my daughter is in.

Here in New England it is next to impossible not to be a fan of sports. There are times when the channel switches from football to hockey at the first hint of a commercial. And then we have the Red Sox Nation that involves everyone in one way or another. As for the Alabama LSU game? We lived in Metarie Louisiana so we should have rooted for them but,we cheered for Alabama that night.Hubby likes that I share his interest, and loves that I can make the right call on most infractions. Now if I could just get him to knit we would be the perfect couple.
