Now Is The Time

Books, computers, festivals, vacation, excitement......those are some of the words I would use to describe the past couple of weeks. I have lots to share and I certainly will as time goes by.

Winston Churchill once said: "To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared and unqualified for the work which should be his finest hour." I found this quote tucked in my Bible when I was contemplating decisions concerning my purpose in life. I have no idea where it came from. I don't even remember cutting it out of the magazine. All I know is that it answered some questions I had just asked myself and God.

For several months I have contemplated going back to school. It is important to me to be as self sufficient as possible. Constantly wanting to know and do more but plagued by road blocks. Now everything is based on computer skills and while I can do the basics my dream is to do it all! :-)

I did it! Back to college!? I officially signed up and have already completed my first class. Confidence and drive have taken over and I can't wait for the next learning experience. Who knows where it will lead? Maybe just to a new found confidence or perhaps to a new hobby or second career. It doesn't really matter.....I love to learn and there are lots of opportunities out there.

I will keep you updated. I am not giving up anything....still cooking, sewing, knitting, reading, gardening.....just adding some more info to the pile.

Let the journey begin.....Now Is The Time!
