Time for the yearly prediction by the groundhog. Will it be an early Spring or
will Winter continue? Well the verdict is in. According to Punxsutawney Phil, the famous weather predicting groundhog, Spring is on its way! You see he didn't see his shadow and so the question has been answered. However, according to the media there is an 80% chance of error. :-( I know all of you in the middle of the "big storm", are certainly hoping Phil is right.
This weekend was just beautiful here. Now we are back to cold, rainy weather. I saw just enough sunshine to get Spring Fever! I actually found signs of the coming season in my yard. I know those beautiful blossoms of Spring are there. I just hope that the groundhog is right and the warm weather will come sooner rather than later!

Well, your spring bulbs AND the groundhog prediction AND proverbs do give us hope! :) With our mounds of snowfall on the ground, I just have to have faith!

It makes me happy to see your bulbs sprouting, because we still have a quarter inch of ice, coverd by a foot on snow in our flower bed! lol!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to be back in Kansas though, because I can dig in the ground and plant flowers without fighting those GA fire ants! I did mostly pots for the 3 years we were in GA, and now I can go back to an actual flower bed... so bring on Spring Mr. Groundhog!!!
Hope he is right. he would have seen his shadow here this morning, as the sun was shining. It was 25 when I got up this morning. :(
ReplyDeleteSome of my iris have started to come up with the few days of warmer weather we had. Just hope this bitter cold won't damage them.
