Overwhelmed!

I recently upgraded the software for my embroidery machine. With visions of beautiful masterpieces I drove home. After installing the new software and looking at the instruction manual......reality set in! :-) This is going to take lots of work and patience. I am excited about all of the things I can do (at least it says I can do).

The manual has been printed....over 700 pages worth!? Classes are in progress. Maybe someday I can showcase my creations?

The instructor says we should "play" each day. Some how this doesn't seem like play. The first two words I chose to work on.....Rest and Relax. Kind of ironic don't you think?

  1. My suggestion, ask a fifth grader.
    I totally understand your dilemma.
That is why I don't update my phone!
But good for you on taking a class.

  2. After seeing some of your beautiful creations, I bet you get the hang of it soon. I am one of these people, show me how, let me make notes, but please don't leave me alone with a manual. :D
    Enjoy your weekend.

  3. I have a Bernina 180 with an embroidery attachment, but the new machines are so amazing!!! I know what you mean about this stuff being overwhelming..... if it weren't for my girls, I would never have made it in this techno world. Hopefully your classes will help. I know you can do it! Can't wait to see what you make. Love & blessings from NC!

  4. I inherited my mother-in-law's machine which is very outdated compared to yours and I know that overwhelmed feeling. I am going to have to take lessons because I know I won't figure it out on my own. Good luck with yours. I'll bet you'll have the hang of it before you know it!
