My daughter and I spent yesterday......playing. I love those mother/daughter dates. Shopping, talking, and of course visiting our favorite tea room.
My dear daughter and her husband (wow that still sounds weird) are in the process of purchasing their first home. It was built in 1872 and is being fully restored. What a lucky pair! Needless to say her mind is focused on decorating and searching for just the right pieces to furnish their new home. Yesterday we had fun just looking and dreaming of her visions for each room.
I became inspired as well and had to make some trips for supplies. Neutrals are definitely the "in" look. Gotta have a little bit of the French Country feel as well! :-) Fabric, trim, paint and imagination......that's all I need to get started. I am off to my sewing room and my closets. I am searching for treasures hidden in my home already to help me create a new look. I am already inspired. Now it's time to bring that inspiration into reality!
How fun for her to plan on how to decorate their new "old" home! And with your talents you'll be of great help designing and creating just what she wants. Although I'm sure she is talented that way in her own right; she undoubtedly got her mama's creative genes!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely weekend!

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than mother/daughter shopping trips, especially to decorate a house and make it a home.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see what you will be working on!Oh YES, I do LOVE those mother/daughter times. My newlywed daughter was home for the weekend and we had fun browsing Pottery Barn. :)
